P.M.O.S. Awareness
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome · Formerly known as P.C.O.S.
"You are not difficult to diagnose. You have simply been overlooked for too long."
By the Numbers
Overlooked for Too Long
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome — formerly known as PCOS — affects 1 in 8 women worldwide, making it one of the most common hormonal conditions of our time. Yet the average woman waits years before receiving an accurate diagnosis. PMOS impacts weight, reproductive health, mental health, metabolism, and skin — and its effects reach far beyond what most doctors communicate.
Alpha Mu Omega stands in the gap. We raise awareness so that women recognize their symptoms, advocate for themselves in medical spaces, and never leave a doctor's office feeling dismissed. We support women navigating PMOS at every stage — from first symptoms to long-term management.
With the medical community's official renaming of this condition in 2026, a new chapter of understanding has begun. AMΩ is here to make sure our communities are informed, empowered, and seen.
